No Work and No Play due to Accidents

From a one liner published in a book in the year 1659, an Irish novelist expanded it in 1825 to two lines by saying:

All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy,
All play and no work makes Jack a mere toy.

This old proverb illustrates the importance of having a balanced life by not overworking or overindulging in relaxation.

With many countries in recession all over Europe, employees have chosen to remain at work longer and give up vacations as a matter of survival. If they don’t put more time in to their work, they may end up taking a permanent vacation after being laid-off.

Much like a see-saw in the playground, work and vacation times have been fighting each other for dominance over centuries. During the good years it tips in favour of vacations; while in lean years, people tend to work longer hours.

Interestingly, injuries can deprive a person of both these things. When one is lying in a hospital bed, they will be unable to return to work as a head mechanic of the Jaguar dealership located on Holland Street in London. This same reason will prevent the person from spending any free time enjoying the Underground River of Puerto Princesa City in Palawan.

During these times of no work and no play, accident at work claims become essential for one’s survival. By filing and winning a claim, an employee will be compensated for the wages he was supposed to earn as well as cover the expenses he has now.

No Win No Fee for Accidents

With a no work and no play situation due to sustaining injuries at work, an employee has no source of income that can put food on the table for his family. And if he had planned on taking his family on a vacation, the money spent on plane tickets, bookings, and reservations will most likely be lost as well.

With mounting hospital bills, taking on a solicitor to handle filing any accident at work claims will only serve to constrain an already tight budget.

Fortunately for today’s injured employees, they can avail of a no win no fee arrangement when consulting a lawyer.

Just like getting the equilibrium right between work and play, a no win no fee arrangement provides the best balance for an employee.

First is that it allows an employee to secure the services of a very good lawyer, without having to fork over large amounts of money.

Second, is that an employee gets to keep all of the compensation awarded to him by the civil or tort courts.

No work and no play may make Jack a dull boy, but no win no fee arrangements allow him the opportunity to work and play on another day.
